rrr 8819 e1406829021212Today, dear friends, I want to talk about what types of travel you can choose if you decide to come and spend a vacation on the Emerald Island.  You can come to Ireland at any time of the year, and you can’t go wrong. True, on one condition that you are not a sissy and are not afraid of rain. If you miss the sun and you definitely do not have enough vitamin "D", then in this case you can make a mistake with the choice, since the weather changes during the day several times. I wrote about it in my article "Order Rain in Irish!"

rrr6099914178 73b9c5a5e9 zIt was snowing in Ireland on March 18, 2012. This was all the more striking because it didn’t fall an inch in all the winter months. The snow was wet, almost like rain, lay on the asphalt and immediately melted, tiny islands lingering for a short time only on the green grass ... I watched this nature whim from the window, wondering to myself, and I did not want to believe that here in Ireland, perhaps there will be a real winter with snow and strong winds.

'' Rain is... very difficult to film, particularly in Ireland because it's quite fine, so fine that the Irish don't even acknowledge that it exists."   - Alan Parker, director of  "The Commitments"

www2508004 s1There are many countries in our world that are literally created for cycling or hiking and Ireland is one of them. This is a suitable climate and terrain. And if you prefer an active holiday to a romantic holiday with your beloved in a bungalow in the Maldives, if you have not forgotten where a backpack and boots with spikes are gathering dust in the house, then on the Emerald Island you will discover another new world that you will not forget..

original6666Not so long ago, I was at a very interesting meeting on the history of Ireland. This conference was organized for representatives of immigrant communities, or '' communities '', so that we, visitors to Ireland from so many countries of the world, can more comfortably adapt to life in this state. Doctor of History from Trinity College, talking about the colonial period in the history of Ireland, mentioned the time of the terrible famine, which lasted from 1845 to 1859, when the “death of starvation” devastated entire cities, such as, for example, Sligo..

wwwmedieval dublin 618x347Having visited many capitals of European states, I realized that Dublin became my favorite city. It is difficult for myself to explain this feeling of deep affection, the feeling that everything in this city has become native, already in its own sense, but of course, I love Dublin for its simplicity, for its democracy in any manifestation, why would neither touched. So - what I would  recommend to look and walkl around in the capital of Ireland for a few days to all those who have a weakness to travel around cities and villages?
